Al-Muzzammil Verse 4 Allah ﷻ says :
اَوْ زِدْ عَلَيْهِ وَرَتِّلِ الْقُرْاٰنَ تَرْتِيْلًاۗ
"or a little more—and recite the Quran ˹properly˺ in a measured way"
Hence, applying Tajweed in our recitation is the way we follow this ayah.
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَأَنفَقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ سِرًّا وَعَلَانِيَةً يَرْجُونَ تِجَارَةً لَّن تَبُورَ
Fatir:29 (Surely those who recite the Book of Allah and keep up the Prayer and spend out of what We have provided for them secretly and openly, hope for a trade (gain) that will never perish
Tarteel (Arabic: ترتيل) is the Arabic word for hymnody. The term is commonly translated in reference to the Qur'an as recitation, "in proper order" and "with no haste."
